Establish good quilting technique from the beginning. We’ll teach you the basics of rotary cutting and accurate machine piecing. Your quilt will be machine quilted and finished before you know it. Class project is a crib/lap size quilt. 4 classes/$45.00 plus book

**BEGINNER TRIANGLES - Suzanne

Monday, February 27, March 5, 12 & 19
9:30-Noon or 6-8:30 p.m.

A patchwork quilt is more than squares and rectangles. After completing Beginning Quiltmaking, go on to learn quilt blocks with triangles. Make sharp points and have your block be the perfect size. 4 classes $45.00 (same book as beginners)

BEGINNING HAND APPLIQUE

9:30-2 p.m.

Learn the needle turn method of hand applique. Project will be cherries on a tea towel. This project will teach you how to make perfect circles, stems & leaves. 1 class/$35.00 plus book and fabric kit

This is a required class for anyone wishing to rent our Handi-Quilter machine. An in-depth beginning workshop with a small class size, ensures lots of hands on learning! Learn to prepare and load your quilt on the frame, threading, tension and needles. Experiment with free motion designs, stencils, groovy boards, pantograms, plus general how to’s! Lecture/demo with hands on learning. $50.00 includes supplies. Limit 3 students per class.

QUILT RED Saturday, February 4 9-3 p.m.** This class is FREE with a $25.00 donation to the American Heart Association. Make a beautiful red and white quilt called Love Letters.
ROTARY ROUNDUP Saturday, March 31 1-4 p.m.** Join Suzanne in an informative lecture demo about various rotary cutters, rulers and mats on the market and how to use them. Bring your rulers and cutters for comparison. 1 class/$20.00
MYSTERY QUILT Saturday, March 3 9-3 p.m.** Choose a Bali Pop, jelly roll or Tonga Treat and enjoy a day sewing this mystery quilt. 1 class/$35.00 includes pattern
QUICK TRIP AROUND THE WORLD Tuesday, Jan. 24, 31, Feb. 7 & 14 9:30 - Noon or 6 - 8:30 p.m.** An easy strip-pieced quilt with techniques that are out of this world! Choose your size from crib to king! 4 classes/$45.00 plus book

**SAMPLER SETTINGS Thursday, April 12 & 19 9:30-Noon or 6-8:30 p.m. Let's put together your Saturday Sampler quilt blocks into a quilt top. Make an appointment ahead of class with Suzanne to plan your quilt design to suit your needs. Come to class to learn cutting and sewing techniques for sashing, borders and on point settings. 2 classes/$35.00
*MARINER'S COMPASS Monday, April 23 & 30 9:30- Noon or 6-8:30 p.m. Paper piece a mariner's compass medallion. It's easier than you think to make sharp points and set in a curve. 2 classes* /$35.00 plus pattern

FARMER'S WIFE QUILT CLUB

Join us monthly as we read letters from 1920's farm wives and the 111 six inch sampler quilt blocks they inspired. Use your choice of fabrics to machine or hand piece this wonderful quilt. Enjoy the fellowship of other quilters and a monthly commitment to sewing this quilt. Special handouts and instructions not featured in the book will be given.

Saturday Sampler 2012

Each month Suzanne will demo a sampler block and share with you all the latest news in quilting. Attend the class and go home and make your block. Next month come to Saturday Sampler with your completed block and your next block kit is FREE!!! Yes, by the end of 12 months you could possibly have all 12 quilt blocks made for only $7.00. If you miss a month attending or do not do your homework you will be charged $7.00. Three color ways (1930's Reproductions, Pink & Brown or Blue & White) to choose from. Optional Garden Basket embroidery Block of the Month pattern for $5.00 each month. You may sign up for more than one color way but only one color way will offer the Free block each month if you attend class and complete previous block.

Saturday Sampler continues the second Saturday of each month (See exceptions*). Choose to attend 9:30 a.m. or 10:30 a.m. session.

Class Policies

To reserve your spot in class, register in person, phone or by mail with check, cash or credit card (Visa, Discover, Master Card & American Express) . Store credit will be given if you cancel (7 days prior to class) If there is not sufficient enrollment you will be given a store refund or credit. We reserve the right to cancel a class if there is not a minimum of 4 students.
Supplies need to be purchased from Suzanne's prior to class. Supply list will be available at registration. Our expertise in color coordinating fabric and selecting proper tools is part of your lesson before class starts. We recommend 100% cotton fabric that must be washed before class.
Patterns, books and handouts cannot be shared or photo-copied because of copyright laws. Let's help to keep these talented and creative designers in business.
Classes missed may be made up in another time slot when space is available. Please let us know when you will be taking a makeup class so that we can insure you a seat.
Children and guests are not welcome in class. Please be courteous and think of your fellow classmates and put cell phones on vibrate.
