Orchid Challenge
“Orchids On My Quilt”
| The American Orchid Society sponsored a Quilt and Wearable Art Challenge for 2006 “Orchids On My Quilt” |

 This year's theme was
"Orchids on My Quilt". Participants purchased a fabric pack from Suzanne's Quilt Shop. Participants could construct in any
manner desired using hand and/or machine sewing techniques using the
challenge pack fabric and any other additional fabrics. Quilt entries needed
to be a minimum 36" x 36" to a maximum size of 60" x 60". Deadline for
entry was May 15, 2006. Quilts were on exhibit at the American Orchid
Society headquarters in Delray Beach Florida during the month of
June. Prizes were given in two categories Quilts/Wallhanging and Wearable Art. First place $250.00, second place $175.00 and third place $100.00 gift
certificate.
