The American Orchid Society sponsored a
Quilt and Wearable Art Challenge for 2005

 This year's theme was
"Cats in the Garden". Participants purchased a fabric pack from Suzanne's Quilt Shop. Participants could construct in any
manner desired using hand and/or machine sewing techniques using the
challenge pack fabric and any other additional fabrics. Quilt entries needed
to be a minimum 36" x 36" to a maximum size of 60" x 60". Deadline for
entry was March 18, 2005. Quilts were on exhibit at the American Orchid
Society headquarters in Delray Beach Florida during the month of April.
Prizes were given in two categories Quilts/Wallhanging and
Wearable Art. First place $250.00, second place $175.00 and third place $100.00 gift
certificate
