Lakehouse Little Dresses Collection

The Designer Doll Dress quilt featured in the center is featured on Holly Holderman's blog. Each dress in the quilt was made by a different person. There is no pattern for this but you can look at the photos on the blog and use the Playing Dress Up pattern on the right.

Suzanne's Tip of the Week - Formula for Quarter Square Triangles

Did you learn the formula for half square triangles I shared with you last week? Here is a basic formula for triangles you should commit to memory. Quarter square triangles are 4 triangles sewn together to make a square. Take the finished size of the square you want (that's minus seam allowance) and add 1 1/4". Example: 3" finished size square plus 1 1/4" equals 4 1/4" Rotary cut a 4 1/4" square. Cut on the diagonal twice. Four of these triangles when sewn back together will give you a 3" finished square. Squares cut for quarter square triangles always end in a fraction like 1/4" or 3/4" Happy Quilting, Suzanne
