Suzanne's Tip of the Week - Cutting Table Solutions

Save your aching back and bring your rotary cutting up to a comfortable height.
Here are some simple ideas.
1. Use an inexpensive 6 foot fold down table that you get from the office supply store. Cut PVC 2" diameter pipe in four lengths of 12". Pick up the ends of the table and install pipe on the table legs to raise them.
2. Purchase a small kitchen island that is on wheels. Mine has a fold down side so when it is up it holds a 24" x 36" cutting mat. The kitchen island came from a catalog and needs to be assembled. This took a bit of time to do.
3. Purchase ready made kitchen cabinets as a base from the home improvement store. Finish a piece of birch veneer plywood for the top with a stain and polyurethane.
4. Purchase a cutting table that goes with your sewing machine table. Lovely and classy but expensvie.
