Hurricanes 2004 Memories Quilt
The hurricane season of 2004 will be one that will live in Florida resident's memories for a long time. Hurricanes Charley, Frances, Jeanne & Ivan crisscrossed the state of Florida in a two month period disrupting the environment and peoples lives. Can we ever forget? Suzanne's Quilt Shop asked our customers to help us make a quilt to memorialize this unusual event. The blocks needed to be 12" when finished. Blocks could be pieced, appliquéd or embroidered on 100% cotton fabric by hand or sewing machine. Colors and fabrics could be of the designer's choice. Blocks could not be painted or glued. Entry fee of $5.00 was to be donated to the American Red Cross.
The staff at Suzanne's Quilt Shop will complete the quilt. The quilt will be donated to the American Red Cross or a historical museum for display.
